New collaborations and a free drum track added

I’ve added 3 collaborations and a drum track to the music page today, all available for free download.

There is one track called ‘orphan’, which started out as a drum track shared with me by djabacus, I dirtied up the beat a bit, stretched it out and added a transition. I then added bass, guitars and a glockenspiel to the mix and baked for 30 minutes.

‘Requiem for a Honk’ was a track I made in August 2008 with Josephine Deux Fleurs, in Frankfurt. It’s a bit like the Clint Mansell soundtrack to the film Requiem for a Dream, only much, much sillier.

D’Allemagne is sort of a cover. It was made at the same time as ‘Requiem for a Honk’, with Josephine Deux Fleurs and pigsqueal. Josephine’s friend had given her some lyrics to a song by Patricia Kaas which none of us had ever heard and the idea was to make a song and see if it sounded anything like the original. Probably not, is the answer.

Finally, the last of today’s additions to the music page is a free live drum track offered up to, well anybody who wants it to create music. It’s at 110bpm and the .wav export can be download by clicking the down arrow on the player.
